Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of FieldLog, a ByldGo product, including the mobile app, fieldlog.byldgo.com, tryfieldlog.com, and related services (the "Service"). You accept by checking the required checkbox at signup (GC Admin) or on the invite page (Team Members and Subs) — pre-checked boxes or use alone do not constitute acceptance. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

Accounts & Roles

GC Admin (Billing) — the billing owner. Full control of company settings, billing, users, projects, and company-wide visibility. Operational logs for a project are managed by the admin responsible for it. Fits: owner/principal of the GC company, or whoever handles the subscription.
GC Admin — company/project administrators. Manage projects, users, assignments, and logs, scoped to their assigned project(s); no billing access. Fits: project executives, PMs, senior superintendents, office administrators.
GC Team Member — GC field and project staff. Submit Field Reports, complete tasks, upload project photos. Fits: superintendents, assistant supers, field engineers, and other GC employees.
Subcontractor — outside trade companies with limited project access. See and manage only their own assigned work; can’t see other subs. Fits: trade partners — electrical, plumbing, framing, concrete, etc.
Viewer — people outside the day-to-day work who need to read the official record. Read-only access to one project’s submitted Daily Logs, photos, and documents, with export, through a personal link and a verification code sent to their email; no account or password. Viewers do not see Field Reports. Fits: property owners, lenders, investors, consultants.

You are responsible for credential confidentiality and all activity under your account. Report unauthorized use to hello@byldgo.com.

Subscription & Billing

Monthly: $129/month · Annual: $1,290/year (2 months free) · each covers up to 10 active projects. Prices do not include sales tax. Where it applies, tax is calculated from your billing address and added at checkout and on each renewal.

Viewers, Subs, and invited users are free — only the GC company is billed. No free trial; subscription starts upon successful payment. First-time companies get a 30-day money-back guarantee once per company (full refund if canceled within 30 days of first subscribing). Payment is processed by Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel from Settings → Billing.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service unlawfully, submit knowingly false information in logs, access others' data without authorization, reverse-engineer the Service, disrupt its integrity, or store unlawful or infringing content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Content Ownership & Sealed Records

You retain ownership of content you submit (voice recordings, photos, log text, project data). You grant ByldGo a license to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the Service.

Once a log is filed, it becomes a sealed, immutable record. Corrections use a linked Amendment only — the original is never altered, and no one can edit or delete it while it exists. Names and emails on a sealed record are retained as part of that record for as long as it is retained, and are subject to the 90-day deletion window above.

Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BYLDGO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED AMOUNTS PAID TO BYLDGO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify ByldGo for claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or violation of law. ByldGo will indemnify you for third-party IP infringement claims regarding the Service as provided, subject to standard notice and cooperation requirements.

Termination, Changes & Governing Law

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations or fraud. Account closure follows the read-only retention in Section 3.5 and does not delete sealed records.

We may update these Terms with notice to GC Admins for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by Utah law. Disputes are resolved by binding AAA arbitration in Utah on an individual basis (no class actions), except for small claims or IP injunctive relief.
