Overview

FieldLog is a product of Russell Financial LLC, doing business as ByldGo ("ByldGo," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the FieldLog mobile app, fieldlog.byldgo.com, tryfieldlog.com, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Who This Policy Covers

FieldLog is used by GC Primary Admins, GC Admins, GC Team Members, Viewers, Subcontractors ("Subs"), and Owners. What we collect depends on your role and how you use the Service.

GC Primary Admin — primary account owner. Full control of company settings, billing, users, projects, and final log approval.
GC Admin — company/project administrators. Manage projects, users, assignments, and logs. Intended for project executives, PMs, senior supers, and office administrators.
GC Team Member — GC field & project staff. Superintendents, assistant supers, field engineers, and other GC employees. They can create and submit daily logs, complete tasks, and upload project photos.
Viewer — read-only project access. Can view logs, reports, and photos without editing. Good for owners, owner’s reps, architects, and office staff.
Subcontractor — outside trade companies. Limited project access for subcontractors and trade partners. They only see and manage their assigned work.
Owners — owners and investors receiving daily log reports. Access is granted through a separate read-only magic link process, not the standard invitation flow used for every other role.

What We Collect

We collect account information (name, email, company, role), project and log content (voice recordings, transcripts, photos, text, signatures with timestamp and account ID), and project location/address for weather snapshots. We do not track your device's real-time GPS.

Billing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your full card number. We receive limited billing metadata (subscription status, plan, renewal date, Stripe IDs).

We also use processors including OpenAI (transcription and structured logs), Open-Meteo (weather by location/date only), Supabase (database/auth), and Resend (transactional email). We automatically log basic technical data (device type, app version, IP, timestamps, errors) for security and troubleshooting.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and maintain accounts, generate AI-assisted daily logs, attach weather data, maintain audit trails and sealed records, process payments, send transactional emails (invites, magic links, payment notices), provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service.

How We Share Information

We share information only with your company/project team (per GC Admin role settings), service providers listed above (strictly to operate the Service), when required by law, or in a business transfer (with notice). We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell personal information.

Data Security & Owner Access

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage at rest (via Supabase), plus role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

Owners access reports via a secure, unique magic link limited to a single project. There is no password — anyone with the link can view that project's reports, so keep links confidential.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information (name, email, account profile). These rights are subject to sealed-record limitations — we cannot delete individual sealed logs, recordings, audit entries, or names/emails tied to submitted or approved logs.

California residents may have additional CCPA rights; EU/UK residents may have GDPR rights where applicable. Contact hello@byldgo.com to make a request.

Children's Privacy

FieldLog is a business tool for adults in professional contexts. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).

International Users & Changes

FieldLog is operated from and primarily intended for use in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify GC Admins by email for material changes.
